work in progress: frida kahlo paper dolls

i had fun making these frida paper dolls. they are a mix of fabrics and paper and the butterflies are laser cut wood by porkchopshow.

i was inspired mainly by the painting Two Fridas

but i was also inspired by the vibrant colors she uses and i always love seeing her in photos with the flowers in her hair.

a work in progress: paper doll party hat

i got involved in another swap at atcards, of course who can resist another swap? i know i can't. we're all making crowns, tiaras or party hats (it depends on what our partner wants)

i have to get working on a medieval themed crown for my partner, but meanwhile i have made a simple paper doll party hat that isnt done yet. it needs a lot more embellishment...



as you can see shes a little plain, but once i get working she'll be done and all prettied up.
